KISII REPORT - NEW STRUCTURE NEEDED

On the right are some photos that Joel sent me yesterday. You can also read below why they need to build a shelter where the kids can eat their meals, plus do their homework. Up until now, this has mostly been done outside or in the dormitory.

I asked him why they could not do these things in the church building, which is just next door. The public health officials are telling them now that they need to further separate the activities of the church and the orphanage for both for hygienic and security reasons.

The covid-19 situation has raised awareness on hygiene, which in the long run may be a good thing, since much illness in the past was actually caused by poor hygienic conditions. Security is always a concern, since there are many dangers for children in the culture at large of East Africa.

We are all so thankful for many of you who have helped in this ministry. If you have read some of the stories of the children that I have put on this blog, you know of some of the very difficult situations that these kids have come from. I’m not done yet. There are more stories to come.

Greetings in Jesus might name. We thank God for the love and concern to help the Log Church/Orphanage Kenya, the leaders and children are appreciating for the school and regular help for the food, we request your prayers too for the orphanage and needs within.

We are humbled to report that if God had not used each one of you we could have not come this far. Yes there are more needs as we minister in outreach but we have  every reason to thank God for using you
to meet the needs of the children.

We have a challenge now within the orphanage as now it’s raining here the kids have no place to shelter while serving meals and doing homework. On Monday we had a meeting of deciding what to do. The community and church leadership were able to raise 10 metal sheets and we need 70 more to improve even the kitchen from not being smoky.

Yesterday and today the personnel was on the ground designing the structure see pictures attached, we request your prayers for this for roofing, posts, flooring and skilled labor cost we need Ksh. 151000 to finish the dining/study room. Thanks for the prayers we trust God will provide keep praying for the food provision as we are running out of stock from store, God bless you all. Our prayers are with you all.
