ORPHANAGE REPORT - FIREWOOD SEASON!

It’s firewood season in Wisconsin. In a drive down almost any road here, you are likely to meet a pickup truck full of firewood or pulling a trailer full of wood—especially on the weekends. And as you can see, it is also firewood season at the orphanage. This isn’t for the heater stove, like here, but just for the cooking.

The churches there have been active in evangelism in the past weeks. In the various messages that I get from pastor Joel, we writes, “We praise God that today 7 souls were saved”… “5 souls were saved”… “today 6 were saved.”

In this past week he wrote that on one of their evangelism outreaches, they prayed for a man who had been sick for one year. Praise God that the man was healed right on the spot!

He was so thankful that he offered the church a van to be used to do more evangelism. It was a great gift for them, but it does have some mechanical problems. Joel writes that it actually needs a new engine.

Also we would like to thank all here who have given gifts to help the children in the orphanage. With the latest bank transfer that we were able to make, I believe that they will be able to pay off the school debt for the year. Thank you so much!

There have lately been more days of struggle at various times—the kids going without food for days at a time. But God is so good! He has sustained them and we have a group of healthy, happy and thankful children!

May God’s blessing be upon all of you!

If you would like to help the children of the Log Church Orphanage of Kisii, Kenya, you may make your check out to “The Log Church” and write “Orphans” on the memo line.

Send it to:

We now need to pay a wire transfer fee with every payment, which amounts to $50 each time, but other than that, your donated money will be used only for purchasing food, clothing, schooling, and other necessities of living. We wait until we have $4000-$5000 before we make the bank transfer to make each transfer more economical. Nothing is held back or diverted for any other purpose. Thanks!
