are three basic costs that we try to cover.
The first of these and the highest priority fund is for all
the food and other daily needs for the children.
The second is the school fees for the children. The new school
term began on Monday. It will run until the 23rd of December. The total
cost for all of fees for all our children is $5115 for this term.
The third fund is for the school that we are building on the
orphanage. This is actually the lowest priority but important none-the-less. It
a long-term project, and of course a very costly project.
As you can read in Joel’s letter below, we recently ran into a shortage of food for the
children because we needed to buy a large amount of building materials so that we could begin construction of the school. We rarely (almost never) know week-by-week how much money we will have for the next week or two. We simply have to trust God to provide.
When the food runs out, the staff and kids pray and fast.
They seek the Lord. Pastor Joel tells the children, “I do not know why God has
chosen not to provide food for this day, but it is the path he has chosen for
us.”
Praise God that he did provide, and we were able to send
last week. The breakdown for the food purchased is below, after Joel’s letter:

Thanks goes to the church in USA church and Kenya for the
days food was not in our storage room. Out of 12 days children missed food for
7 days. We were praying and fasting seeking God. We have taught children to
seek God in all situations. We thank God for the regular provision even when
delay comes. The lesson to remain trusting God more and more in our life is the
time to develop our faith grow strong and stronger.
Be of good courage. We thank God for sustaining you and
Kenya family. Our prayers are with you all. We are trusting God for the
provision. We are looking to him daily to help this work here and supply what
we need. We know it needs the hand of God for all that is needed to be
accomplished.
We have attached pictures of the school where the building has been built. For the schoo
l
ground floor to be completed, doors, bricks, D 8,D10,D12,D16,D24, (different sizes of rebar) windows,
plaster, electricity, plumbing, ceiling, posts, frames, timbers, nails, Cement,
skilled labour and logistics involved we needed Ksh. 5,196,500 take away Ksh.
600,000. What we received now we Ksh. 4,596,500 to finish ground floor plus
toilets and administration block.
Dad, Mum, Church and Friends the Ksh. 1,500,000 was for pillars and beam only but the above cost of Ksh. 4,596,500 Is what is needed to complete all ground floor classes kindly keep praying for the school building project. Thanks below is the food budget Ksh. 476,810.
