Sengera is the site of the main church, which is in the same
village as the orphanage. A few months ago, the church was offered a lot on the
main road and near to the market area if they would build a new church there.
The Sengera church has grown in numbers so rapidly that
since I began visiting there in 2017, they had already needed to build a larger
place of worship, but they soon grew out of that one as well. Now, a larger one
was needed again.
The first two buildings were of mud construction, but now,
for the new building, they are pouring columns and beams to make a long-lasting
structure. It appears to be a large building. That is good, since they have
about 450 attendees each Sunday.
Please pray for this church along with the four other
churches that have grown out of this one.
