Opening
Song
Surely the presence of the Lord is in
this place,
I can feel His mighty power and his
grace.
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings, I
see glory on each face.
Surely the presence of the Lord is in
this place.
Call
to Worship
We
all know that we are living in unprecedented times. We are experiencing things
that we have never before experienced and we are having to make decisions that
we never before had to consider. It is especially important in these days that
we keep our relationship with God vitally alive.
It is for this reason that we have come
this morning. We come because we seek the life of God in our own lives. We come
to listen to the Holy Spirit and to learn. We come to worship the One who holds
the events of the days in His hands.
Invocation
Prayer
Our
Father in heaven, as we come before you today as your people, we give to you
our undivided worship. We recognize that you alone are sovereign, and that
there is no other. Your ways and reasons for many present circumstances are in
large part unknown to us, yet we proceed with confidence that in the end, your
purposes will be fulfilled, and we as your children will come to an
understanding of your ways. Amen
Song
of Worship #17 – Shine Jesus, Shine
Selected
Reading Romans 16:25-27
Now
to Him who is able to strengthen you by my gospel and by the proclamation of Jesus
Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery concealed for ages past but
now revealed and made known through the writings of the prophets by the command
of the eternal God, in order to lead all nations to the obedience that comes
from faith—to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ!
Prayer
of Confession
Merciful God, although our prayer is that
you would give us the wisdom and the strength to grow in our walk with you, we
confess that we fail many times. Because of our unrighteousness makes us
unworthy to stand before you, we instead we fall before you and ask for your
grace. Please grant us your grace in our lives. Amen.
Words
of Assurance
In
every case, with confession comes forgiveness (1 John 1:9). God is walking down
the path of life with each one of us, he grants us his grace and he also
continues to seek to teach us to live in his righteousness.

of Faith #29 – Grace Like Rain
Scripture
Reading: OT – Daniel 2:27-30 (His
words to King Nebuchadnezzar)
Daniel
answered the king, “No wise man, enchanter, medium, or magician can explain to
the king the mystery of which he inquires. But there is a God in heaven who
reveals mysteries… And to me this mystery has been revealed, not because I have
more wisdom than any man alive, but in order that the interpretation might be
made known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.
Deuteronomy
29:29 (Words of Moses) The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the
things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow
all the words of this law.
NT –
Colossians 1:25-29 (Words of Paul the
Apostle)
I
became its servant by the commission God gave me to fully proclaim to you the
word of God, the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now
revealed to His saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles
the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we
may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I also labor, striving with
all His energy working powerfully within me.
Responsorial
Reading : From Psalm 145
The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and
abounding in loving devotion.
The LORD is good to all;
his compassion rests on all He has made.
All You have made will give You thanks, O LORD, and Your
saints will bless You.
The LORD is faithful in
all His words and kind in all His actions.
The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed
down.
The eyes of all look to
You, and You give them their food in season.
You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living
thing.
The LORD is righteous in
all His ways and kind in all His deeds.
The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out
to Him in truth.
The LORD preserves all
who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.
My mouth will declare the praise of the LORD; let every
creature bless His holy name forever and ever.

of Unity #22 – We Fall Down
Communion
– If you are visiting with us today
as a believer in Jesus Christ as the Savior of your life and your soul, and you
understand the importance of Jesus sacrificing his life so that you may live
eternally, please feel free to join us in this most intimate of customs given
to us by Jesus. You are of the family of God, and all in the family are welcome
to share this meal with us.
Offering
Please
notice that a basket has been provided at the entrance of the church to receive
your offering. Thanks and God bless you!
Also,
on the first Sunday of each month, we also have an offering for what we call “Lori’s
Fund” or “Change for Change.” This second one is where we give our loose pocket
change to give to those who are going through extraordinary times of need. In
this manner, the church is usually able to give $50 or $100 a month to an
individual or family going through an especially difficult time. The tin
container is for you to put this change.
Prayer
of Intercession
God of Love, we are thankful that we can bring our requests
to you this morning. We pray with thankful hearts, because we know that you have
only the best intentions for us and are working to bring us to complete
fullness of life.
Thank you also for
hearing our prayers concerning those who have been abandoned or forgotten by
society. We know that you have not forgotten them. Help us to also not to
forget them. Help us to know how to reach out to give ourselves in service to
those who need a hand of support.
We pray for our nation, our government leaders, and all of
those in authority over us. Help each one to understand that the positions that
you gave to them are not positions of privilege, but positions of servanthood. We
ask for your leading on the way to move ahead in these days of the covid virus.
We pray for deliverance, but we also pray that the people of this nation would
realize our need for you.
We pray for those whose
problems are of such a personal nature that they do not feel comfortable
telling others of these needs. Although we do not know of these needs
specifically, you know them. Please minister to these individuals. Heal them,
comfort them, supply their physical needs, and encourage them.
Along with these unknown needs are many of those in our
church and children in Kenya. We pray for the health and spiritual needs of the
people there. We pray for the locust situation and covid restrictions in that
country which continues to drive up food availability and prices. Please send
your wind to drive this crop-eating plague out.
Thank you for your
gracious answer to all of our prayers.
Thank you Father, for listening to the voices of all of your
servants.
Amen
